details you need to know

The Registrar will ask you these details about the deceased:

  • Forename(s) and surname
  • Date + place of death (address)
  • Date + place of birth
  • Marital status
  • Maiden name (if applicable)
  • Forename(s), surname + occupation of partner
  • Details of the deceased’s GP
  • Pension details (exc. state pension)
  • Details of their parents (if known)

Once you register the death, the registrar will give you some important documents.
