castle rhythm gymnastics

The Castle Rhythmic Gymnastics Club started in the early 1980’s when a number of female gymnasts showed an interest in the sport. Since then the club has maintained its competitive nature and remains the most successful club within the region having represented Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games and British Championships. Indeed several of our gymnasts have represented GB & NI at both European and International competitions.

The Club currently is a recreational club facilitating those gymnasts who cannot afford the membership fees of other gymnastic clubs and we seek to encourage all females to participate in the sport from all community backgrounds and abilities. Indeed our coaches volunteer not only with our club but in a number of schools including coaching those with disabilities.

There are several very talent gymnasts within the club and it is the Club’s vision to make a comeback into the competitive arena again within the next few years. We have been particularly delighted that our gymnasts gained medals at the British Regional and Grade finals.

The Castle Club’s future continues to look exciting with a dedicated team of coaches and the determination of both the parents and our gymnasts – so if you are interested in getting involved – do get in contact with them.
